Label Content Information -

The Additional Information Screen determines what is on your label and how it should be applied to job you have selected.  This screen is used with all input sources and your choices change based on the input source selected.  An example is if a feature for a paper label is not required for a paper document then we do not display that choice.

The top half of the screen has radio buttons and check boxes that determine label type information.  The bottom half of the screen has text entry boxes that will contain the information you want to print on the label.  The boxes and/or the name of the boxes appear and disappear based on the selections that you have made earlier.  This information applies to both numbers and letters whether you are printing to labels or to documents.

Labels - (All Formats) Sequential or All the Same - Selecting Sequential will make labels with sequential numbers or letters.  Selecting All the Same does just that.

Leading Zeroes - (All Formats) Checking this box will add leading zero's to your numbers.  This will make all of your numbers the same size.

Print Down Then Across - (Paper Labels) If you select this feature you will always print complete sheets of labels, regardless of the Amount to Print entered.

Descending - (Paper Labels & Pages) If you select this feature your print out will begin with last number and print in descending order.

Start on Line - (Paper Labels) This feature allows you to use label sheets that have been partially used.  Note:  This feature is not available if you have checked "Print Down then Across."

Number of Digits - (All Formats) Select the number of digits that you want to print on the Variable Line.  Note:  DO NOT count the Prefix and/or the Suffix if you are using them.

How Many Copies - (Paper Labels) Select how many copies you want of each label.  Use this feature to make duplicate sets.

Depth - (Paper Labels and Print Shop) Use this feature to make Tablets with sequential numbers.  The numbers will be sequential from first page to last in each label and the start the next number on the next label from first page to last and so on.  When checked you then enter the number of pages you would like to print.

First Page - (Electronic Documents) Use this feature to stamp only the first page of a file.

Last Page - (Electronic Documents) Use this feature to stamp only the last page of a file.

Skip Pages - (Electronic Documents) Use this feature to start stamping on specified page of a file.

(i.e. entering 2 would cause the starting number to begin on the 2nd page of a document.)

Increment - (All Formats) Use this feature to change the amount between each sequential number by any amount. (i.e. 100,200,300,400,etc. would be the result of entering 100 in the Increment box.)

Prefix  Box - (All Formats) Enter the text (this can be any keyboard character) you want to print before the numbers or letters on all of the labels you print in this set.

Note: You can use the tilde character "~" (which will not print) in place of a space, anywhere in the Prefix or Suffix. This allows for spaces after the Prefix and before the generated number.

Starting Number or Letter Box - (All Formats) Enter the number or letter you would like this set to begin with.

Suffix Box - (All Formats) Enter the text (this can be any keyboard character) you want to print after the numbers or letters on all of the labels you print in this set.

Add Number of Pages in a Document - To add the number of pages in a electronic document type the folling in the Suffix Box, "%p", this will place the page count of the document in that spot.  This allows you to add the rest of the text:  (i.e.  ~ of %p Pages, in a 20 page document this will print - " of 20 Pages"

Note: You can use the tilde character "~" (which will not print) in place of a space, anywhere in the Prefix or Suffix. This allows for spaces before the Suffix and after the generated number.

Stamp Placement - This choice only shows on the screen when you are in Print Shop mode.  Please read the Bates Professional Print Shop Guide in this HELP if you are using this feature. Regardless of the Stamp Placement choice numbers are displayed on the Front and Back of the Label on Label Position Page but only the selection is printed. (i.e. - if you select Front the number will show on Front and Back but only print on the Front)
